His pastels, the flicker and the unfinished
More than anything, I love his pastels, the spontaneity of the line, the flicker, the unfinished quality of the Impressionists, the gesture that turns from a stroke into a complete form, the views, even urban ones, the colors in which I can almost glimpse the strokes and the hand, sure, precise, fluttering over the paper. And then… It’s incredible how modern he is with that line that becomes abstract even in imitation. And every time what joy, what a desire for color! #PinacotecaDenittis

As if, once the eye has fulfilled its task, after somehow reading and understanding the simplicity of the pattern, it managed to read the complexity of the geometry. As if, finally, it surrendered to so much, remaining in that diffuse glow, enjoying the balance that emanates from that volume, certainly full yet light. #Alhambra of wonders. Granada 2023
